Do I need to tell you what happens to student behavior when it gets 70+ degrees and sunny? (especially in Washington where we don't often see this weather in April) Just imagine, OK? Some classes were fine, but others made me want to retire tomorrow. However, there was more to my day than work...
Younger Daughter:Alison has received a formal job offer from the company where she's been working as a temp; I'm assuming it means more money, and benefits too. :) I'm not sure exactly what she does, but it's insurance for self-insured states, payroll, workman's comp, etc. I never understand it when she explains it to me. The downside is her pervy married co-worker.
Older Daughter: She owes a LOT in taxes, due to the untaxed Fulbright money, $7,000 federal and $2,000 state. When I tentatively offered her help, she responded that it will be painful, but that she has it covered. "Adulting" sucks sometimes. Her first day of teaching at UCLA as a TA went well, so that's a positive, right?
Henry:We went out tonight to a delicious dinner (great conversation!), and then for a walk along the river. The sights were beautiful:
And he brought me a gift, which I very much appreciated...
I don't know where this friendship is headed, but I am enjoying the moments with him, and that's pretty damned nice.
I can just imagine students and fresh spring weather, especially since you're on the downhill side to the end of the year. I think I probably was one of those students.
Friendship is a wonderful thing. Enjoy it! And chocolate. Yum.

Teaching is its own kind of heaven and hell, isn't it? The photo of your sights is amazing to me. Yum, chocolate! I like this Henry guy. :-)

Henry sounds awesome. Or he's a serial killer. One of the two. It was said that Ted Bundy was quite charming. (I don't seriously think he's that. I think he's a nice dude who knows you like chocolate.)
Love you!

You're in spring hell already! Seems like the school year JUST BEGAN and here you are again, peering toward the end. And soon to be dealing with seniors (and their parents) who "forgot" that they have certain requirements to fulfill in order to graduate... I imagine these final two months are a slog for you.
I just keep getting good vibes about Henry!
I love that mountain! (Today is stellar out there! Looking at 80°!)

Congratulations to Alison, sorry Ashley has so much to pay in taxes, and yea that you're having enjoyable times with Henry. Looks like he has great taste in chocolates!

The weather was too wonderful this past week for school. Isn't it funny how we all wish for rain until June 20th?
