My accomplishments have been few, except that I've managed to run and walk, do some laundry, and make a new Grandson collage. (which I can't show you, sadly) However, I was given permission to share this photo of my daughter and her two (hairy) kids:
Poor Ziggy wants on Ashley's lap, but there is already an usurper taking up that space! I miss being in that chair and rocking grandson, while admiring his beautiful little face. Sigh.
You can see that Mari is also disgruntled; she dislikes it when I use the laptop since she considers my lap her territory. She still wants to stay as close to me as possible. It's sweet.
When I left for New York, this plant was barely blooming. It belongs to my neighbor, although it's planted in our shared front yard area. I can't decide if I like it or not. What do you think?
Another neighbor planted these in my hollow concrete blocks; my late husband put the blocks inside our property line as a border to keep our gravel from encroaching on their flower bed. At first I was taken aback by their audacity, but now I don't mind unless they put in something I dislike. Everyone knows I'm a fan of this color! :) Today I got my first mailing from Medicare which felt weird, and a bit overwhelming. (so many decisions!) Unlike John, who went from paying $10 per month as a Boeing retiree to hundreds of dollars for Medicare and a supplement, I'll be celebrating a reduction from over $700 per month to probably about half that. If you're not American, you can't imagine the stress and worry over health care/insurance in this country. In every sense of the term, we are truly a banana republic these days. :(
